Your Brain on ChatGPT: Accumulation of Cognitive Debt when Using an AI Assistant for Essay Writing Task

Fifty-four participants wrote essays using either an LLM, a search engine, or no tools, with EEG throughout. The LLM group showed the weakest neural coupling, recalled their own sentences least accurately, and reported the lowest sense of ownership.

Detection of KMT2A partial tandem duplication in AML by whole genome sequencing: addressing limitations of traditional techniques in the era of revumenib approval

Cytogenetics, FISH, and targeted sequencing routinely miss KMT2A partial tandem duplications. Across 230 clinical samples, whole genome sequencing found the alteration in 13 (5.6%), 7% of AML patients, agreeing with RNA-seq in every case where both were run.

About

I work where data meets consequence: clinical communication, genomics, and the operations of getting care to people. I have run product and growth, published research on AI and cognition and on genome sequencing, and everything on this site stemmed from a real-world project. The demos run real logic and the tools call live public APIs.
